ANDREA’s last system

The exclusive THOR ANDREA’s last system loading system, with stationary drum, represents a unique solution of its kind, designed to ensure maximum safety, ease of use and operational efficiency during wood cutting.

Thanks to this technology, the operator is always sure to load empty channels. During operation, the machine features two channels dedicated to loading, while the third is engaged in the cutting phase. This eliminates the need to manually identify a free channel, drastically reducing the risk of error and making the operation more intuitive and safer.

This configuration makes the machine one of the safest on the market and allows for exceptional ease of use, even in intensive working conditions. The operator can handle large volumes of already split wood or logs of small to medium diameter without effort and without the need for a second operator dedicated to feeding the machine.

An additional safety feature is the 85 cm drum depth, designed to physically prevent the operator’s arm from reaching the blade, further increasing operator protection.

But the ANDREA’s last system goes even further. During operation, the same operator can simultaneously carry out other tasks, such as splitting logs with the log splitter that will later be loaded into the Revolver, optimising time and productivity.

This is possible because, once the cutting cycle is completed, the drum automatically rotates, bringing the next already-loaded channel into the working position, ready for cutting. In addition, no movement of the blade or drum occurs when the channels are empty, and after a certain period of inactivity, the machine switches off automatically.

The complete absence of idle rotations ensures significant energy savings and a substantial reduction in wear, helping to increase efficiency and extend the machine’s service life over time.
