Stop and Go

The exclusive THOR Stop and Go control is designed in full compliance with strict safety regulations and developed to handle heavy-duty applications, even with large-diameter logs. It is a proven system based on a 12-Volt microprocessor and a sliding axial coupling, ensuring precision, reliability and operator protection.

By pressing a single button, right or left, or using the pedal when the intermediate table is installed, the operator can electrically control the descent of the blade in complete safety, keeping one or both hands free and centring the log in the desired position.

After the first contact between the blade and the log, the system offers two operating modes:

  1. If the log is already correctly locked in place, simply press the two electric buttons simultaneously to start the splitting phase.
  2. If the log is not yet securely stabilised, a further press of a button applies a greater, pre-set force, capable of locking even the most difficult pieces to centre. Once the log is stabilised, splitting is always carried out by simultaneously pressing the two buttons.

Any incorrect operation or unintended command sent to the microprocessor results in the immediate shutdown of all machine functions, ensuring the highest level of operational safety.

The ergonomic position and ease of use of the electric buttons make the operator’s work smooth, controlled and risk-free, even under intensive operating conditions.
